History
Kayvium is based in Ottawa, Canada and was launched as a product and services company in 2011 to commercialize an R&D activity that began in 2005. The technology was originally developed under contract for solving large-scale data analysis problems in government.
Founders
Bain McKay. CEO and Chief Scientist. Bain has over 30 years of experience in the international Software Products business. Prior to founding Kayvium, Bain spent 10 years at Cognos Corporation (acquired by IBM in 2007) managing End User Tools and Artificial Intelligence Research and Development, and later as Global Third Party and Major Accounts Marketing Manager.
David Keys. David has over 30 years of international legal, business development and management experience. Formerly, Chief Operating Officer of Buystream Inc. and Vice President, Corporate Development and General Counsel, Fulcrum Technologies Inc. (now Open Text). David holds a law degree, an MBA and a Bachelor's degree.
